Ather To Set Up 200 Charging Points By The End Of 2019

The company has already setup 35 charging points in Bangalore

  • Recently, Ather tied up with Godrej Nature’s Basket to expand its charging points to Mumbai and Pune. 

In a bid to expand its charging infrastructure, Ather has announced that it is planning to set up 200 charging stations in multiple cities by the end of this year. Last month, Ather Energy had announced its plans to expand its charging infrastructure in Pune and Mumbai. The company joined hands with Godrej Nature’s Basket outlets, which allowed them to set up charging points at 26 stores in Mumbai and Pune

Backed by Hero MotoCorp, Ather is planning to invest around Rs 130 crore to boost its charging infrastructure. The company’s main target is to set up 6,500 charging stations across 30 cities in India by 2022. As of now, Ather has 35 active charging points in Bangalore.

The entry-level Ather 340 retails at Rs 1.13 lakh, while the top-end 450 costs Rs 1.28 lakh (both prices on-road). However, to make the scooters more affordable to the masses, Ather had introduced a new financial solution where customers can lease the scooter.
