Aprilia India To Launch The Tuono 457 Today!

The bike will get Aprilia’s signature design features and is expected to have a competitive price tag

Aprilia India will launch the Tuono 457 for the Indian market today. The bike will be the first sub-500cc naked-streetfighter offering from the Italian brand. Here’s all you need to know about the new Tuono 457:

It has been quite some time since Aprilia had showcased the Tunon 457 at EICMA 2024 and the bike has also been spied testing on Indian roads. It is expected to be priced around the Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) mark. 

The Tuono 457 will get a street-fighter design with tank extensions and Aprilia’s iconic design elements like the twin DRLs at the front, an underbelly exhaust  and distinctive graphic schemes.

The bike will be powered by the same 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin cylinder engine from the Aprilia RS 457. It produces 47.55PS and 43.5Nm, and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. The engine might be the same but we can expect some change in the gearing and the sprocket sizes to give the bike a different character.

The bike will be built on the same platform as the RS 457 with the same chassis, and is likely to get similar underpinnings. The bike gets an inverted fork and a monoshock offering full-adjustability. For the braking setup, the bike will get a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc brake along with dual-channel ABS as standard.

On the features front, the bike will get a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth for call and SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. The bike is expected to have riding modes: Eco, Sport and Rain along with switchable traction control and ABS. The Aprilia Tuono 457, following its launch in India will directly rival the bikes like Yamaha MT-03 and KTM 390 Duke.
