More peace of mind for you but there’s a catch

    Quick News Highlights

    • Yamaha now offers free 10-year warranty on its two-wheelers

    • Only applicable to two-wheelers made in India

    • Announced as a part of Yamaha’s 40-year milestone

Yamaha has announced a 10-year warranty on its two-wheelers. The 10-year warranty consists of a 2-year warranty that is standard and an additional 8-year extended warranty that covers the engine and the electrical components including the Fuel Injection System and also the hybrid system in the Hybrid models.

For the scooter line-up consisting of the RayZR 125 Fi, RayZR Street Rally 125 Fi , Fascino 125 Fi, Aerox 155 and the Aerox 155 Version S, Yamaha offers warranty coverage up to 1,00,000 km, while the motorcycle line-up consisting of the FZ range, R15 range and the MT-15 range gets coverage of up to 1,25,000 km under this ‘Total Warranty Initiative’.

Do, note that the 10-year warranty is offered for free-of-cost and only on motorcycles that are made in India. So don’t expect this to apply to the R3 or the MT-03.  Though the scheme has been announced for a limited period of time, new customers after the scheme ends will have an option to opt for the 10-year warranty for an additional Rs 2,499 with the new purchase. Also, the warranty is transferable to the subsequent owners of the bike if it’s sold.

    BikeDekho Says

It is practically established that Yamaha’s products are generally reliable enough to last a decade and with the additional warranty, the Yamaha’s are now bulletproof to withstand any major issues or malfunctions that may arise. Also, the option to pass on the warranty to subsequent buyers will definitely play a major role in retaining the resale value of Yamaha’s products in the second-hand market. We think, if you are looking to buy a Yamaha motorcycle, this might just be the golden opportunity for you with a fuss-free ownership experience.
