2025 Keeway RR300 Vs Yamaha R15: Image Comparison
The recently launched Keeway is a 300cc bike for the price of a premium 150cc sports bike!

The 2025 Keeway RR300 got launched recently at a price of Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This is a rebadged version of the Keeway K 300R, and is Rs 1 lakh cheaper than the K 300R’s original launch price back in 2022. According to this new pricing, it is now the most affordable 300cc fully faired sport bike in India. In fact, it costs as much as the Metallic Grey colour variant of the Yamaha R15 M, a faired bike with half the Keeway’s engine capacity. We compare them in detailed images:
Design

The RR300 is quite exciting to look at, with its neatly designed full fairing, clean looking tail section with an underbelly exhaust. If you’re in the market for a faired bike that looks unique, then you’ll like the Keeway’s design.

In comparison, the Yamaha R15M takes its design inspiration from bigger Yamaha bikes. While it looks sharp and sporty, it ends up being too similar to the bigger-engined Yamaha faired motorcycles. That said, the Metallic Grey colour scheme with the golden-coloured inverted fork really looks premium and attention-grabbing.
Engine

The Keeway RR300 uses the same engine as before, which is a 292.4cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor producing 27.50PS at 8,750rpm and 25Nm at 7,000rpm. Along with this, the bike gets a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch.

On the other hand, the R15M uses a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor which makes a best-in-class 18.4PS at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm at 7,500rpm. It also gets a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The RR300 makes 9.1PS and 10.8Nm more, which is going to give the RR300 a significant lead over the R15 in terms of overall performance.
Underpinnings

The RR300 uses a trellis frame along with a 37mm inverted fork and a rear monoshock with preload adjustability. The bike gets a 292mm front and a 220mm rear disc brake setup with dual channel ABS. It runs on 17-inch alloy wheels with a 110-section front and a 140-section rear radial tyres from Maxxis. The bike weighs 165kg (kerb), gets a 12-litre fuel tank and the seat height is kept at 780mm.

The Yamaha R15M gets a Deltabox frame with an inverted fork and a rear monoshock whose preload adjusts automatically (to a certain degree) via a linkage mechanism. It uses a 282mm front and a 220mm rear disc brake setup with dual channel ABS. The wheel size is 17 inches with a non-radial 100-section front and a 140-section rear tyre from MRF. At 141kg (kerb), the R15M is 24kg lighter than the RR300 which is quite significant. It gets a slightly smaller 11-litre fuel tank, while the seat height is quite high at 815mm.
Features

The Keeway RR300 does not offer much in terms of features. It gets all LED lights and a digital instrument cluster which shows all the basic information including a gear position indicator, but misses out on smartphone connectivity.

In comparison, the Yamaha R15M gets an all LED light setup with a projector headlight and sleek DRLs. The R15M gets a feature-rich 5-inch TFT instrument cluster. It supports smartphone connectivity via Yamaha’s Y-connect app, along with turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts. The bike also gets a quickshifter which (only allows for upshifts) helps in faster gear shifts. All these features help in making your day-to-day riding experience on the R15 a lot more convenient.
Price & Verdict
The Keeway RR300 is available in a single variant which is priced at Rs 1,99,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), and the Metallic Grey colour option of the Yamaha R15M is priced at Rs 2,00,600 (ex-showroom Delhi), which makes it Rs 1,600 more expensive than the Keeway.
In terms of value of money, the Keeway RR300 offers a lot more power, and almost similar spec hardware as the R15M. However the Yamaha gets a lot more features, like a TFT console with turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts, - these should make everyday riding more convenient.
If you want an aggressive supersport with a premium build quality, Japanese engineering - that too from a well-known brand with a good network of service centers, the Yamaha R15M is a better choice. Those who are only keen on affordable performance, and don’t mind a bike from a relatively newer brand with very little dealer reach across the country may find the RR300 appealing.
