Honda has officially launched the 2025 CBR150R in Malaysia at a price of RM 13,399 (approximately Rs 2,59,429). It now gets two new colour options.
New Colours
The most notable update for the 2025 model is the introduction of two new colour schemes. The first is the Tricolor, inspired by the racing heritage of Honda’s iconic models like the CBR1000RR-R, CBR650R, and CBR250RR. It includes red, blue, and white - reflecting Honda’s motorsport DNA.
In addition to the Tricolor, a more subtle ‘Kelabu’ option is also available. It combines a silver base with bright yellow accents across the front-end, side fairing, fuel tank, and seat section.
Engine
Under the skin, the Honda CBR150R remains unchanged in terms of performance. The bike is powered by a 149.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 16.3PS at 9,000rpm and 13.7Nm at 7,000rpm. This power is sent to the rear wheel through a six-speed gearbox and the bike also comes with an assist and slipper clutch.
Underpinnings
The CBR150R continues to rely on a diamond frame, and gets an inverted fork and a monoshock. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels, and gets a disc brake at both ends, with dual-channel ABS. It has a seat height of 788mm, ground clearance of 151mm, a kerb weight of 137kg, and a 12-litre fuel tank capacity.
Features
The motorcycle features a fully digital instrument display, all-LED lighting setup, and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) - alerting other road users when the bike is braking suddenly by switching on the hazard lights automatically.

While the 2025 Honda CBR150R is now available in Malaysia, there has been no official word from Honda Scooter and Motorcycle India (HMSI) regarding its launch in the country. The previous model of the CBR150R was discontinued in India due to poor sales. The CBR150R will be a direct rival to the massively popular Yamaha R15 V4 in India.
