A studio shot of the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan has leaked online, suggesting that the bike can be launched as early as this month. The 2021 iteration was recently spotted testing in the country, and it features one small but important update: Tripper navigation. This smartphone-compatible turn-by-turn navigation unit is the same as the one in the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. This coupled with the digital compass should make navigating through unexplored places a lot easier.
Apart from the Tripper navigation, the leaked image also shows the tank grille has been moved a bit forward so that it doesn’t intrude into the knees of taller riders. Other than these two, the rest of the motorcycle is likely to remain unchanged mechanically.

Powering the motorcycle is a 411cc air-cooled, fuel-injected, counterbalanced engine with oil cooler. It churns out 24.8PS and 32Nm, linked to a 5-speed transmission. The BS6-compliant version comes with dual-channel ABS that can be switched off for the rear wheel for better off-road maneuverability. We took the BS6-compliant version for a spin and here are our thoughts.
Other than the colour scheme in the leaked image, the adventure tourer is also reportedly coming in a new shade of green. Expect more colour schemes as well.
The updated Himalayan is likely to command a premium of around Rs 5,000 over the current pricing, which starts from Rs 1.91 lakh (ex-showroom). Royal Enfield has promised to launch a new product every quarter, so we expect more bikes like the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and the upcoming Royal Enfield Roadster 650 flagship cruiser, this year. Very well designed bike, low maintenance cost, best bike to have in this segment. Best for city travels and on adventure trips as well. Maintenance cost is very low, mileage is quite good, running is superb. This motorcycle owns its name and legacy of Royal Enfield and it’s not available to buy it new.
I buy this beast in 2022. Driven 23000 km so far. It gives thrill performance on highways .good for touring. For a 5.8 person it feels tall.which gives amazing looks. Talking about mileage it gives 30kmpl on highways and 27kmpl in city. I have used this bike for daily commute as well as long rides. Feels amazing and comfortable.
