The only update for the mid-displacement naked is the new paint scheme

Just a day after launching the 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 650, the Japanese giant has launched the updated version of the Z650. And just like the mid-displacement sports tourer, the only update to this bike is the new ‘Candy Lime Green Type 3’ paint scheme. Fortunately, the “update” comes at no extra cost, with the motorcycle still priced at Rs 6.24 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The 2021 Kawasaki Z650 is available only in only one colour now. Interestingly, this shade wasn’t part of Kawasaki’s portfolio when the company introduced its new lineup overseas in June this year.

Kawasaki has made no changes to the 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, which continues to produce 68PS at 8,000rpm and 64Nm at 6,700rpm. Even the 4.3-inch TFT display remains the same. We would have loved to see a set of grippier tyres instead of the existing Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 rubber, which doesn’t offer a good grip on wet roads.
The prices of the Kawasaki Z650 were hiked earlier this month, and now the gap between the updated mid-displacement naked and the Triumph Trident 660 has been reduced to Rs 71,000. For the extra cash over the Z650, the Triumph offers a three-cylinder engine and better electronics and hardware.

- Worth every single pennyI am a huge fan of riding, and this bike delivers what almost every rider want , an aggressive approach and smooth handling. Just loved it , however, cost of maintenance and other stuff can get quiet expensive . If you are looking for an weekend kinda bike , then I'll recommend it but not for city (especially crowded cities like mumbai) where u hardly get good patch with low traffic , plus u will encounter speed breakers at the least expected place , so for everyday it's a NO. I cannot stress on how good it glides , even with heavy pillion . Overall a great package if your budget allows itRead More
