The cruiser appears to sport a different instrument cluster and switchgear

[Update: Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Spotted Sans Camouflage, Launching Soon]

The handlebars look similar to the one on the current-gen Thunderbird 350X.  The engine head, engine cover and the exhaust are all blacked-out.  Exhaust heat shield gets a chrome treatment. Expect Royal Enfield to launch the motorcycle early next year.

The 2020 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X has been spotted testing yet again. This time around, the spy shots show us quite a few details of the cruiser’s ergonomics as well as the features. The motorcycle comes with the same low and wide handlebars as the current-gen Thunderbird 350X. Interestingly, the twin-pod instrument cluster seems to have been replaced by a single-pod unit, which is a first for the Thunderbird range. A closer look reveals the presence of adjustable levers as well. Even the switchgear appears to be the same retro dial-type units as seen on the 2020 Royal Enfield Classic 350.

One can also see the new double-cradle frame and the new-gen engine nestling within it. The engine head, engine cover as well as the exhaust get a matte-black treatment whereas the exhaust heat shield is finished in chrome. You can read all about the new-gen powerplant here

Royal Enfield has gone for a single horn setup as opposed to the dual units seen on the outgoing model. The chromed-out oval toolbox on the side seems to be missing in this motorcycle, and the tail light design has been changed as well. Overall, it looks similar to the test mule spotted earlier

Interestingly, Royal Enfield has ditched the single-piece seat for a split unit. The ergonomics seem to be pretty upright and the footpeg is forward-set for a laid back posture. We expect Royal Enfield to launch the motorcycle early next year with a price tag of around Rs 1.8 lakh to Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). The outgoing model is currently priced at Rs 1.63 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). When launched, the 2020 Thunderbird 350X will compete against the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400.
