#2015EICMA : Sneak Peek of Upcoming Two-Wheelers from Piaggio

With the 73rd Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA) standing just a day, all motorcycle companies are geared up to showcase the best set of wheels rolling under their banners. Piaggio recently gave a glimpse of the pipeline which it has planned to display at the event. With this, the company will also be celebrating its 130th anniversary of its operations this year.

Starting with Moto Guzzi, the brand will be introducing V9 motorcycles that will come equipped with an 850cc engine along with a shaft drive. The V9 will arrive in two versions namely V9 Bobber and V9 Roamer. According to the reports, Bobber will be targeted at US markets only. Speculations are also running that Moto Guzzi will also be bringing V7 II Stornello, which is a Scrambler model to compete with those of Ducati and Triumph.

Talking of Supersports, Aprilia will be bringing the 2016 model of RSV4 RF with some fine tunings here and there. Besides, Aprilia Factory Works Projects will also be started in which respective buyers can order the RSV4 directly from Aprilia Racing and the bike will be built purely as per their requirements. The reports also suggest that the fully configured RSV4 will deliver a whopping power of more than 230hp.

The scooter segment of Piaggio will also witness some new models. Firstly, the second generation of Liberty High-wheel scooter will now come equipped with a four-stroke engine having engine displacements of 50cc, 125cc and 150cc. Another scooter that will see the sunlight is Medley, which will come powered either by a 125cc or a 150cc mill and will have under seat storage big enough to accommodate two helmets. Piaggio will also be displaying an eco-friendly eBike that has a facility of connecting it to the internet through your smartphone in order to deliver useful information like location and other tracks.
