The Chennai based two wheeler manufacturer, TVS Motors is known to keep its products updated, and this time the company seems to update its Phoenix 125 with some sporty elements. A camouflaged test mule resembling the bike has been spied testing on the Bangalore-Chennai highway. The spy shots suggest that the overall design remains unchanged, but few new element have been added to enhance its appeal. Keeping, the current trend in mind, there is another strong possibility that TVS might launch a new variant, while keeping the current Phoenix on sales.

Launched in 2012, TVS Phoenix has completed a time span of one and a half year in the market. The bike attracts a good number of buyers due to its unique features like, fully digital console with tachometer, LED pilot lamps, roto petal front disc brake, new Ecothrust engine, series spring suspension, compound padded seat, hazard lights and a very reasonable price tag. However, now the bike is loosing its popularity, which might be the reason to bring an updated version.

Unique features of the TVS Phoenix 125 will be continued in the new version and it will boast the same 124.5cc Ecothrust engine, which belts out a maximum power of 11 PS at 8,000rpm along with 10.8Nm of peak toque coming out at just 6,000rpm. However, the company might replace the 4-speed gearbox with an advanced 5-speed transmission. It will also get a sportier short exhaust muffler, which can be seen in the spy pictures.

As the test mule was fully covered, we can't say much about the cosmetic updates of the new Phoenix, however, the rear grab rail and tail light is looking updated. We strongly believe that the company will replace the older graphics with some new and attractive design.

TVS Phoenix User Reviews
- It's A Superb BikeIt's a superb bike, but the only issue is the availability and cost of spare parts. Overall, the performance is good and comfortable. Liked it.1 1
- Pickup and mileage are great. For 125cc engine, overall pickup and mileage, both are good. Gear transmission pattern should have been 1 down 3 up instead of all up because traffic conditions require such a pattern. I have ridden 50,000 Km since Aug 2015 and the front sprocket shaft is damaged. I need to replace it with getting the engine down. Back shock absorbers not working now.Read More1
- Best Bike In This Price RangeNew TVS bike. TVS bike is my best bike mileage is a good bike and balance are very good.
- Best 125CC BikeAwesome performance with amazing mileage with 60+ speed. I'm having this bike for 5 years. Had a great experience.
- Again Unacceptable Bike from TVSTvs makes a loose impression from Bikers, Their is a huge list of failure models and very less quality service availability. Any manufacturer hits its own products by sales, service and fully consumer focused organisation, So here is no chance to attract the consumers with new product launches but you need to read consumers minds and their quires. TVS Phoenix is a good one- but-- but above points makes phoenix unsuccessful again in future and then TVS new Models arises ,arises, arises.. What a shit...!!!Read More1 1
