Husqvarna Svartpilen 401

The 2022 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 has been spotted testing for the first time. It borrows several elements from the upcoming next-generation KTM 390 Duke. You can read all about it in our analysis here.

The Husqvarna 401 twins received their last significant updates in 2019 in the form of new colours, updated graphics, and a 40mm longer subframe along with a larger rear seat. The motor and powertrain remain unchanged. 

The Svartpilen 401 is powered by the same 373.3cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor as the KTM 390 Duke. It makes 43.5PS and 37Nm. The bike employs a steel trellis frame suspended on WP 43mm USD forks and a WP monoshock. It is anchored by a large 320mm disc up front and a 230mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. 

Husqvarna may not launch the 2022 Svartpilen 401 in India as even the more affordable 250cc versions -- the Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 -- aren’t really raking in healthy numbers in the country.
