Overview
Yamaha has launched the BS6 variant of the FZ-FI and FZS-FI. Both gets an updated BS6 compliant motor now.
The third-generation Yamaha FZ Fi Version 3.0 now gets muscular fuel tank extensions, reminiscent of the Yamaha FZ25. They also house faux air vents. In addition to this, the motorcycle also gets LED headlamps, a stubbier exhaust and a new LCD instrument cluster.
Yamaha has also improved the ergonomics of the FZ Fi Version 3.0, with the handlebar now 22mm higher and closer to the rider. The rear subframe is also flatter, for better pillion comfort. Yamaha offers the FZ Fi Version 3.0 in two different colour schemes - Metric Black and Racing Blue.
Powering the motorcycle is an updated 149cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. It delivers 12.4PS at 7250rpm — 0.8PS less than the BS4 FZ-FI models. It comes with a 5-speed gearbox. The Yamaha FZ Fi uses a diamond-type frame, suspended on telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. It competes with the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS 160, 2019 Suzuki Gixxer and the Honda CB Hornet 160R.

- Proud owner of this bikeProud owner of this bike. I don't know why people r having low mileage. I easily get mileage of above 60 on highways at normal speed of 55 kmph. Sometimes even more than 64. Till now I have driven approx 39000 kms in just 2 yrs. Main drawback is it requires chain set change after every 15000 kms. Also indicators r not flexible like in bajaj pulsar (my old bike). Seat comfort is too good. Fuel capacity is also good, approx 11 ltrs (when fuel indicator starts blinking ). Bike features good handling while driving fast while overtaking. ABS works fine. - Best for middle class people.Actually on this price best one. Mileage 40 to 50 fix. And top speed also upto 115. Main thing is break and roadgrip wonderful. But plastic quality is not good.
