Yamaha Brasil has launched the limited edition XMax Darth Vader in its domestic market. The company will be making only 200 examples of this maxi-scooter. So, what exactly is new with the Yamaha XMax Darth Vader?
The styling. The Yamaha XMax Darth Vader’s paint job is inspired by the iconic Star Wars character. So, it gets a complete blacked-out theme with contrasting red accents (inspired by the character’s lightsaber). There are some other details on the livery like the small Death Star (a space station from the Star Wars’ universe) and a button panel from Vader’s suit.

Unfortunately, the changes on the limited edition XMax are purely cosmetic. It continues to use the same 250cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 22.8PS and 24.5Nm. The maxi-scooter even retains the suspension setup consisting of a telescopic fork up front and dual rear shocks, offering 110mm and 79mm of wheel travel, respectively. There are no changes to the 267mm/245mm disc brake setup either.

The Yamaha XMax Darth Vader is not the first pop culture-inspired product from the Brazilian wing of the Japanese brand. Previously, we have seen the NMax Star Wars Edition, MT-03 Iron Man Edition and even FZ-25 Marvel Edition.
Yamaha has priced this limited edition maxi-scooter at BRL 28,590 or Rs 4.49 lakh. Unfortunately, the XMax in the Darth Vader or even the standard avatar is unlikely to grace our market anytime soon. Unlike Yamaha Brazil, we do not have any pop-culture inspired products in our market from the bikemaker. So, you can either purchase the Aerox 155 and customise it, or if you prefer something like this straight from the factory, the TVS NTorq Super Squad Edition remains your only choice.

- Yamaha Aerox 155The scooter is amazing. Great performance and good mileage as well was getting around 35 kmpl in city. Great handling and high-speed stability with good breaks. Everything is good but the scooter is not suitable for tall riders. The boot could fit an entire full-face helmet inside as well along with space to keep a jacket as well.Read More

- Good scooty with lots of flaws to be correctedBecause of its performance. It looks good. It has a good pickup and the balance is also very good. The agility is also decent. And the engine is super refined. And it stands out in its competition easily. I have a mixed experience with this bike. The battery got dead in just 6000 km. I had to replace the battery. The issue with the rear rim was the worst. The socket in which the rim fits it got loose and when i went to the service centre, they didn't come up with the solution. The front suspension is so hard that you can't even take small pots on the road. And the fit and finish can be much better. The rear break is week. If the road condition is very good and millage is not an issue and someone who wants a scooter which can deliver power and has a good road presence can consider it. But personally I would not purchase again this scooter.Read More4 7
- Yamaha Aerox dashing review.I choose this because of the muscular looks and the bulkiness. I love the muscular looks specially this Yamaha Aerox. And the feel when you ride this giant scooter on road everyone see this like how a scooter looks like this muscular. Ride is comfortable and smooth braking system. And specially the disc is so much good that you just put your fingers on the brake and it stop immediately. And the comfortness of the back rider is also good. Yes who need a muscular body type scooty obviously go for it blind foldy. You get a smooth experience when your ride it on road. And the boot space is also huge you can store many things including helmet also.Read More2 1
