BMW Motorrad has hinted at the launch timeline of the upcoming BMW F 450 GS in its latest Instagram post. The manufacturer posted new pictures of the upcoming ADV with the caption - “Dreams are coming true soon - prepare for the #ConceptF450GS at the end of the year”, which reveals that the bike will be launched globally by the end of 2025.

BMW Motorrad India also showcased the F 450 GS concept bike at the Auto Expo 2025 in January. The design of the ADV is inspired from the bigger capacity BMW R 1300 GS. The F 450 GS will come with raised fenders, long travel suspension, and block pattern tyres and an upswept exhaust, giving it a proper ADV look.
The upcoming BMW F 450 GS will be powered by an all-new inline twin-cylinder engine which is claimed to deliver a peak power of 48PS, quite impressive for a sub-500cc bike. It gets a 6.5-inch TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity. The BMW ADV is expected to get rider aid features like cornering ABS (switchable), traction control, ride modes, and more.
Underpinnings on the BMW F 450 GS includes a long travel fully-adjustable inverted fork and a long travel pre-load adjustable monoshock. The bike is equipped with a disc brake at both ends, with dual channel ABS (likely to be switchable). The BMW adventure bike will come fitted with a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear cross-spoke wheel setup, wrapped with tubeless block-pattern tyres.
BMW Motorrad states that the F 450 GS will have a kerb weight of around 175kg, making it quite light for a 450cc ADV. In comparison, the Himalayan 450 weighs 196kg.
Expected India Launch Date & Price
We expect the upcoming BMW F 450 GS to be priced around the Rs 4,50,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) mark. We expect it to be unveiled at EICMA 2025. The adventure bike is likely to be launched in India sometime in early 2026.

I don't normally use this bike because of maintenance and mileage and I have a himalayan I prefer it most to ride it is way better in power distribution and weight distribution. But end of the day its BMW better in comfort and brand value but expensive though If you don't care about the budget than its ok, but we have very better options in market with great power and performance and we can save 1-2lakhs for just have a logo of bmw I don't think its worth full.Read More11 15
- Excited for the bike to be launchedI am desperately waiting for the bike the headlight looks very interesting. I got chills when I saw the bike's introduction video. the color scheme is perfect. the TFT display makes it look more futuristic. the power output of the bike will be crazy, especially on the trails, I hope the bike has good low-end torque which can help in the trails. although this bike is a big competitor of the Himalayan the BMW F 450 GS will be priced aggressively, at the end of the day it is a BMW.
