Even with FAME 2 subsidy being withdrawn, prices haven’t gone up significantly
TVS has slightly increased the prices of their electric scooter, the TVS iQube and now the scooter is slightly more expensive. The withdrawal of FAME 2 subsidy and the beginning of the new financial year has brought around this change. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the price:

The price increase has been minimal and the recently-announced Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme has helped in lowering the shock that the withdrawal of FAME 2 subsidy could have caused by giving a price cut of Rs 10,000. Additionally TVS has also reduced the price of the scooters by absorbing a bit of the price hike themselves.

The TVS iQube is on sale in two variants and both are powered by the same 3kW hub mounted motor with a peak power output of 4.4kW. The top speed comes to 78kmph. The motor is mated to a 3.04kWh lithium-ion battery pack that claims a 100km range. The TVS iQube competes with other electric scooters like the Hero Vida V1, Ola S1 Air, Bajaj Chetak and the upcoming Ather Rizta.
