[UPDATE: TVS has launched its 125cc offering, called the Raider. To know the specs, pricing and other details, head to our launch story here]

TVS is all set to launch its modern 125cc sporty commuter bike in a few hours from now. It is likely to be either called the Fiero 125, however the ‘R’ logo at the end of the recently revealed teaser points to an alternate moniker. Moreover, the company had trademarked the name ‘Retron’ back in November, so it is likely that TVS will name the bike something starting with the letter R.
The teaser video reveals a colour LCD instrument cluster with mileage indicator, Eco and Power icons, gear position indicator and start-stop-system, among others. The headlight and tail lamp are LED too. You can read more about the features in our report here.
The bike will likely feature a 125cc engine derived from the TVS NTorq 125. In the scooter, it produces 9.38PS and 10.5Nm, but expect the powertrain in the motorcycle to be slightly more powerful. It will likely be paired to a 5-speed transmission. The motorcycle will employ a telescopic front fork, and the rear could feature a pair of shock absorbers.

Likely to be priced at around Rs 75,000-Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom), the upcoming 125cc motorcycle will be the only one of its kind in the segment from TVS. It also marks the Hosur-based manufacturer’s re-entry into the segment after the Phoenix 125 was discontinued in 2017. The timing is perfect as the 125cc segment is gaining popularity because prices of 150cc motorcycles are becoming prohibitively expensive.
TVS Raider User Reviews
- TVS- RAIDERI choose raider because one of my friend suggested me to buy as this bike is good nice looks and good mileage. The solo seat version of the bike is very good looking like similar to pulsar and it feels very light weight to ride this bike. The ride with the TVS raider was amazing till now, no breaking points were given by this bike, still rides the same smooth and the sound of the filter of this bike is best. The disc provided is also good, breaks tyres, engines, every thing is very good. I would like to recommend this bike to everyone other because of its looks, smooth rides, pretty good disc, nice colours, best engines, nice mileage and more than that the trust on TVS. They have been creating beats like this for very long now.Read More3 4
- My experience with TVS Raider.I wanted a bike with a decent mileage per litre because my work demands inter district commute. And after extensive search I found Raider. I wanted a bike that wasn't too boring for a mileage centred bike and this was my fair bet. Overall ride experience is satisfactory. Braking is bit off, that can be improved but if you're going in a decent speed, it shouldn't be a concern for you but if you're in a rush, it sure will affect you in one way or the other. But didn't have any bad experience till this day. Yeah, I'd recommend this bike but its safe, if you give it a test drive and make sure it's suited according to your needs. You should not feel bad after making the purchase in my opinion. But its a solid choice according to me.Read More32 27
