TVS Apache RTR 160 4V TFT Vs Anniversary Edition: Check Out The Differences

TVS launched several variants under the 2025 Apache lineup a couple of weeks ago. Among them is the new top-end ‘TFT’ variant of the Apache RTR 160 4V. It is priced at Rs 1,47,990 and comes with a new instrument console, better features and new paint schemes. 

Based on the TFT variant, TVS also launched a limited edition of the bike called ‘RTR 160 4V Anniversary Edition’, which is priced at Rs 1,50,990 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). With this, there are 9 variants of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.

We compared the TFT and Anniversary Edition variants, and here’s what we found:

What’s Different?

The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V TFT is offered in three colour schemes: Racing Red, Marine Blue and Matte Black. It gets a coloured front fender, headlamp accent, fuel tank, tank shrouds, and the tail section. The bike gets race-inspired, chequered-flag graphics on its fuel tank, along with rim stickers of the same colour scheme as the bike.

In the Racing Red colour, the bike gets a red-and-white graphic scheme, whereas it’s a black-red combo on the Marine Blue, and in the Matte Black, it gets silver-white graphics. The bike also gets a black-coloured underbelly cowl. The brake callipers on the Apache RTR 160 4V TFT are finished in a golden shade. 

The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Anniversary Edition, on the other hand, is offered in a single champagne gold and black livery. The bike has black-coloured body panels and a front fender. It gets golden-coloured graphics on its fuel tank, headlamp cowl and the sleek tail section. There’s also ‘20 years Anniversary’ badging on the fuel tank that gives the bike certain exclusivity.

Along with this, the rims are also finished in a dual-tone paint scheme, with half being golden, while the other half is black. Interestingly, this limited edition bike gets red-coloured brake callipers as opposed to the golden ones on the TFT.

What’s The Same?

As the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Anniversary Edition is based on the TFT variant, both the bikes are mechanically identical, with the difference being just the paint and graphic schemes. Both these bikes are powered by the same 159.7cc, single-cylinder, air-oil-cooled engine that produces 17.55PS at 9,250 rpm and 14.73Nm at 7,500rpm. 

It comes paired to a 5-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch that prevents rear wheel locking when downshifting aggressively. The assist function helps in easy clutch lever action - helpful in stop-go traffic. The bikes also have a traction control system, dual-channel ABS and riding modes (Sport, Urban and Rain) as standard. 

These bikes also get identical underpinnings, including suspension, wheels and tyres. The braking setup is also the same, with a 270mm front and a 230mm rear disc brake. The seat height, fuel tank capacity and ground clearance are the same as well. For more details, check out our launch story.

The TFT variant is fairly equipped and has enough features to be a good street naked; the limited edition simply steps up the game with its exclusive colour scheme. For most, the TFT variant will be good enough, but if you want that premium colour scheme and want to stand out, then the Rs 3,000 premium will be worth it.
