The BS6-compliant variant costs around Rs 8,000 more than the BS4 model. So should you add the extra numbers to the cheque?
The BS6-compliant variant costs around Rs 7,000 more than the BS4 model. So should you add the extra numbers to the cheque?
Suzuki’s new BS6-compliant Burgman Street is priced at Rs 77,900, around Rs 7,900 more than the BS4 model. You can still buy the older Burgman Street though until the BS4 stocks last. So, is it wise to save up around Rs 7,000 or should you go for the future-proof variant? Let us help you decide.

Umm, it looks slightly different:
Yes, it does. Thanks to the new matte red paint option. That’s the only difference between the two variants when it comes to styling. Suzuki had also showcased the MotoGP edition at the auto expo, and we think it should be available in a couple of weeks.
Suzuki might have at least added some new features, right?
The BS6-compliant Burgman Street now gets an engine kill switch and Suzuki’s easy start system… and that’s about it. Considering the price hike, we were expecting Suzuki to add some more features to the list, but this is all we have for now. So, if you’re going just by the features list, we think you’re better off with the BS4 model.
Same power and underpinnings:
Although Suzuki has made some changes to the engine, the power and torque figures are similar to the older model. The fuel-injected 125cc motor now makes 8.7PS and 10Nm of torque. There could be a slight difference in mileage, but we will reserve our judgement until we get our hands on the BS6 model. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a shock absorber at the rear. Braking is handled by a disc brake at the front and drum brakes at the rear, with CBS (combi-braking system) offered as standard.
Which one to buy?
Considering the increment of around Rs 7,000, Suzuki is not bringing a lot to the table. All you get is a new paint option, an updated motor, and a few new features. If you want to save some cash, you should go for the BS4 model because you wouldn’t be missing out on anything substantial. But you’ll have to act fast, as BS4 stock is limited and will soon be phased out.

Must suggested by my friends and I've watched some of youtube videos for reference and I'm quite satisfied with the reviews also if Suzuki make it more powerful by adding 150 cc engine it will blow the whole segment. I've ridden it more than 8000 kms and I'm much satisfied with it the style the design the bulkiness it's all suits me. I love it the Riding posture is quite comfortable and the seat height fir the pillion is a bit high but comfortable but not for long rides. It is very good for long distances and the mileage is also good. I have ridden it for 400 kms in one go. It is a very good scooter and is amazing. Try it, it is a very good scooter, I have driven it in the mountains, it gives a very smooth ride. Mileage is good but parts are expensive and its service is also costly. Other scooters are better than other scooter. There is another problem with this, you can drive in the city but it is a bit heavy for the streets and neighbourhood. If you have to travel long distances then this scooter is the best option for you. I wanted it for long drives and wanted a light weight scooter, that's why I bought it. If your budget is less than 1 lakh then You can try other scooters, otherwise this is the best.
