After rejoicing with the appreciation received for their recently launched flagship - Apache RTR 200, TVS Motors is now on its way to launch two new machines. As per our sources at TVS, the bikes will arrive in the upcoming festive season, which is the best time of the year to buy anything new for the orthodox Indian buyers. Though nothing exact can be said at the moment, we expect that out of the two motorcycles, one will come under the commuter category while the other will take on the performance category.

TVS currently has only one motorcycle in the 125cc segment namely Phoenix that is currently going through a bad phase. Despite impressive features, the bike has not managed to meet the expectations of the manufacturer and is showing a really miserable sales figure. For this reason, we can say that one of the two upcoming TVS bikes would fall under the 125cc or close category to replace the Phoenix. The second bike on the cards might be the faired version of the BMW G 310 R that was showcased as the Akula 310 at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo.

If not the Akula, the company might bring the much anticipated BMW G 310 R to India this year. The bike is the first product that resulted out of the TVS-BMW joint venture and would be manufactured at the TVS facility. The naked streetfighter was put on display at the BMW stall at 2016 Auto Expo and it looked really appealing. If launched, the bike is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs. 2.5 lac that will definitely please the Indian audience. Stay tuned for more updates!
