Royal Enfield Introduces 'Scramble' Ride

The 'Scramble' is an adventure rally ride organised by Royal Enfield for its enthusiasts, the first leg of which will be conducted from June 14 – 18, 2017, in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh

Royal Enfield has incorporated 'Scramble' ride, one more addition to the bunch of rides the company keeps on conducting every year. 'Scramble' is a new, non-extreme type of rally ride format that is organised by Royal Enfield in collaboration with Himalayan Motorsport (of Raid de Himalaya fame), aimed towards adventure and exploration. The ride will be a competition between teams, where each team will comprise of two team riders competing on two separate bikes. Speed charts and road books will be given to the competitors every day and they will have to face new hurdles and challenges on every new terrain.



The competitors will have to overcome obstacles and make appropriate choices based on game theory to complete the ride. Average riding speeds will be restricted to 45kmph. Teams will be given points on the basis of which manages to tick most boxes according to the game rules. The first leg of the 'Scramble' Ride will be conducted from June 14 – 18, 2017, in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh and will be based on the Time Speed Distance format.



Mr. Rudratej Singh, President – Royal Enfield, commented, “Through our several rides and community initiatives at Royal Enfield, we are constantly nudging our customers to increase their participation in the active pursuit of exploration. With this purpose in our minds, we have introduced Scramble. It is our first non-extreme competitive ride format for our ever growing adventure loving motorcycle community. Strengthening our association with adventure motorcycling, Scramble promises to be a lot of fun especially for participants riding the Himalayan.”



Interested people can register themselves at Scramble. Royal Enfield has listed all the details about the ride on the Royal Enfield India website and the company has also added basic pre-ride check-up scrutiny one should get done with the bike before the ride. The ride complies with the FMSCI (Federation of Motor Sports Club of India) regulatory norms and standards.
