Royal Enfield’s first electric bike is its most feature-loaded one to date!

The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 is the first-ever electric bike from the Chennai-based manufacturer. It stands out from other Royal Enfield bikes thanks to its extensive list of features:

    Convenience Features

The first thing that grabs your attention is the Flying Flea C6’s touch-enabled round TFT console, which displays the power band, torque band, speedometer, odometer, weather, ride mode, battery SoC (state of charge), and more. It comes with a completely keyless ignition, meaning you have to either enter a passcode on the display, or turn the bike on using the smartphone app.

Just like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, you can mirror Google Maps on it. It also has smart navigation which analyses the bike’s SoC and recommends charging stations along your route. This should help in reducing range anxiety.

The electric bike also gets cruise control and a park mode that creeps the bike forward or reverse to help park it. There’s a USB type C port on the “fuel tank” and a wireless charger to help you power up your phone on the move.

There are 5 riding modes on the Flea: Eco, Rain, Highway, Sport, and Custom. Each mode changes the throttle response, ABS, traction control, and regen levels. This affects performance and an available range. Custom mode lets you customise the parameters according to your riding style.

On that note, the footpeg position is also customizable on the Flying Flea. You can either place them in the centre for a more upright riding posture, or move them forward for a more cruiser-like stance.

The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 has an onboard charger that can connect to a 16amp wall socket. It will charge the battery from 20% to 80% per cent in 65 minutes (claimed).

    Safety Features

Just like its convenience features, the Flying Flea C6’s safety feature list is also quite strong. It gets cornering, dual-channel ABS (switchable for the rear), and traction control. The Royal Enfield bike also gets coasting and braking regeneration, which can be selected between 0 and 100 per cent. Additionally, it comes with a theft alert, geofencing, and an SOS feature.

    BikeDekho Says

There’s no denying that the Flying Flea C6 is a feature-rich electric motorcycle with some unique features. If you are looking for a tech-loaded electric bike with a retro-futuristic style, you should check out the Flying Flea C6. However, for the price tag of Rs 2.79 lakh, the range is rather low, which makes it quite a lifestyle-orientated bike.
