New Features On Ather Electric Scooters: Explained

The new software update makes all Ather scooters a lot more safe and practical than before

Ather recently announced its latest Atherstack 7.0 software update for 2025. This update packs in loads of new exciting and usable features like pothole alert, voice assist, crash alert, park safe, sports updates on dash and additional language support. It will soon be available in the Rizta Z and Ather 450X up to generation 3 models through OTA (over the air) updates. Here is the full detail about all the new updates

Pothole Alerts

It’s as simple as it sounds. The Ather electric scooters will now alert you for potholes in your route, helping you ride safer.

This might seem like fancy wizardry, but in fact, this works quite cleverly. It’s actually user-sourced data. What Ather has done here is collected geo-linked IMU data from the scooters in use, and mapped potholes using it. This data is sent to all the Ather scooters with the OTA update. Whenever an Ather scooter is about to approach a bad patch of road, it will automatically flash a pothole alert warning on the console. The rider can then pass through the rough patch accordingly.

Voice Assist

With the Athestack 7.0 update, the brand has introduced voice assist feature, which has been tweaked specially according to our Indian dialect. This should make it a lot easier for riders from all across the country to talk with their Ather e-scooters. Another highlight here is that this feature also works seamlessly with all the other features in this list.

Crash Alert

Crash Alert is an extremely usable feature to have on a two-wheeler while riding on Indian roads, and Ather has tweaked this feature to work in the most efficient way possible. According to the brand, this feature has been tested intensively and it can differentiate between a fatal crash, and a normal hit. The idea is, if the vehicle detects a crash, it ta=es 10 to 15-seconds and if the crash alert feature is not canceled within that duration, it sends the vehicle’s live location to three of the owner’s emergency contacts.

Park Safe

This feature tells you about all the areas which are not safe for parking your scooter, and it also prevents you from being fined by the police by giving you a No Parking Zone alert. Park Safe includes a remote immobilizing feature as well, which is quite handy. If your Ather gets stolen you can remotely immobilize the vehicle and it will safely come to a halt and will not move unless and until the feature is disabled from your mobile application.

Cricket On Dash

As us Indians love cricket so much, Ather has also introduced features like Cricket On Dash, which will show every single detail about any cricket match going on at the moment. This will be a handy addition for all the cricket lovers, however to check out all these details, the vehicle needs to be at a halt.
