The motorcycle could be launched some time in June

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Cheaper Variant Spied Launch Soon

The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is all set to get a little more affordable, as a spoke wheel-equipped variant has just been spotted on test. The 350cc cruiser’s spoke wheel setup is likely to remain unchanged (19-inch front, 17-inch rear), though wrapped in tubed tyres, as opposed to tubeless ones on the alloy wheel variants. While the spoke wheels look the part of a classic cruiser, they will not be able to handle punctures as well as the tubeless ones.

Other changes include the metallic finish on the powertrain, and going with the classic theme, the headlight nacelle is also finished in chrome. Interestingly, the bike has no windshield – something that’s offered as standard on the Supernova range, with alloys. While the regular brown coloured Supernova gets brown seats and a cushioned brown backrest, this one seems to get black ones, likely as accessory fitments.

An interesting aspect to note is that Supernova is the Meteor’s top-end variant, so that hints at the possibility of the spoke wheels variant to be offered across all colours. That way, Royal Enfield will have a ‘classic’ looking version of the Meteor in all shades, ensuring flexibility to buyers. The possibility of a rear drum with single-channel ABS on the spoke wheel variant cannot be ruled out either, but we’ll have to wait and see what exactly Royal Enfield does. Another possibility is that Royal Enfield might also offer the spoke wheels as an accessory fitment.

RE Meteor 350 Cheaper Version Launch Price

The motorcycle looks pretty much production-ready, so we wouldn’t be surprised if Royal Enfield launches the variant in June. Expect it to be around Rs 8,000-Rs 10,000 less expensive than the alloy wheel-equipped variant. For perspective, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Supernova starts from Rs 2,25,533, Stellar from Rs 2,10,580, and the base Fireball from Rs 2,04,408 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). Once launched, it will go up against the Yezdi Roadster and Keeway V302C, both  of which come only with alloys.
