Modified Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Looks Like Yamaha RD350, Check Exhaust Note In Video
Have money but can't find a used Yamaha RD350? Well, buy the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and do this!

Recently a video was shared on instagram which shows what appears to be Yamaha RD350 but the bike is actually a modified Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. The video was posted by Yamakaze, a motorcycle restoration shop that focuses on 2-stroke bikes primarily. Have a look at it here:
In the video, we can see that the Royal Enfield bike has been fitted with a RD350-inspired body kit and undergone a few other design changes that have made the bike look entirely different. For a second it almost made us believe it was an RD350.
Coming to the changes made, the Interceptor 650 has now received new halogen headlight and turn indicators featuring round bulb-type indicators. The fender is a fully chromed-out unit, the fork gaiters have been removed and the fork has been fully chromed-out as well.

Additionally, the handlebar has also been changed to a raised one, like we have seen on the RD350. The only thing that gives away the fact that it's an Interceptor when looking at the bike from the front is the radiator guard which has the RE logo.
The fuel tank and side panels are the same but have been repainted with ‘Interceptor’ written in the RD350 style stickering and graphics. The seat appears to be a custom unit which looks more in line with the RD350’s. Coming to the rear, the tail section has been redesigned and now looks similar to the RD350’s, with the chrome fender and round tail light plus indicators.
Lastly, what stands out the most about this custom Interceptor 650 are the exhausts. They look exactly like the ones we have seen on the RD350. Here’s how the exhaust note sounds like:
The Yamaha RD350 is an iconic motorcycle that was known for being a very fast and powerful bike. Back in its day it was the fastest in its class, but now ever since 2-strokes have gone out of production due to emission norms, such custom builds are a good way to pay homage to those legendary machines.
The modified Interceptor has only seen cosmetic changes in this update, so performance and underpinnings remain unchanged. The bike is still powered by the same 648cc air/oil-cooled parallel twin engine that produces 47PS and 52.3Nm.
The Interceptor 650 doesn’t have any direct rivals and the closest retro/neo-retro parallel twin motorcycle you can go for is the Kawasaki Z650RS which comes at a much higher price of Rs 6.99 lakh, ex-showroom.

- Love and Hate for this amazing ride ContinuesI chose this bike because of the Smooth ride, great pick up and effortless torque with its parallel twin engine. Also the safety on long distance rides with its anti breaking system (ABS). While it is little heavy for city traffic, but it is unbeatable for price and performance. I have bought the bike second-hand from another person. While he had clocked 15000 km on the odometer, I have already done 17000 within a year, with 3 cross-country and 1 coastal route ride covering the entire coastal belt. I am loving it, though sometimes the low mileage and frequent pit stops are annoying. I would recommend this bike to people who will use it for long-distance rides and not use it for going to office or riding in traffic. In city traffic a lighter 150cc is better. But on long distance rides, interceptor is smooth like a hot knife through a butter.Read More1
- Royal Enfield interceptor 650 a true twin classicI chose the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 because it offers the perfect balance between classic retro design and modern performance. The twin-cylinder engine, smooth power delivery. Best bike till the date I drove. The ride experience has been excellent. The engine is incredibly smooth, especially compared to single-cylinder bikes. It feels relaxed at city speeds and very confident on highways handling is safe due to damping. Yes, I recommend this bike because of best looks and little bit maintenance other wise best bike and the torque is greater. I am addicted to bike what a bike, Its feels relaxed at City and very comfortable on highway.Read More
- Simply lovelyI am royal enfield fan and wanted something that will turn eyes. With a retro look and a classic bike. The bike has a god rubble to it and has an easy engine to work with if you are into doing diy mods or service. The passanger space is very un ergonomic. Eg. if the pillion wants to sit comfortably they usually put their leg on the gear shifter and the break leaver. The seat is also less cussioned i.e. softer making the pillion a lot fall under hard acceleration. For Batchelors and non pillion riders mile munchers happy go lucky travels who want to ride seriously but chill at the same time. And if you a rumble enthusiast you must try the bike.. it not be the best in a spec but over all its a good bike.Read More
