Modenas, a Malaysian bikemaker, has launched the Karisma 125S in its home ground. The 125cc scooter is now Euro 4 compliant and has received three new paint schemes.
The Modenas Karisma 125S gets a sporty design. The fascia of the scooter mounts a split-type LED headlight with DRLs. Moving to the side, you'll see that the scooter gets edgy body panels with 'Karisma 125S' graphics, a single-piece seat, sharp rear grab handles, and an upswept exhaust. The tail section of the scooter is lean and employs a boomerang-shaped LED tail light.

On the features front, the Karisma 125S comes equipped with a USB charging port, hazard light, 14-litre under-seat storage space, 5.1-litre fuel tank, an analogue speedometer and small digital screen that displays fuel gauge.
Powering the Modenas Karisma 125S is a 124.8cc single-cylinder air-cooled Euro 4 compliant engine that delivers 9.15PS and 10Nm. For reference, the TVS NTorq 125's 124.8cc motor churns out 10.2PS and 10.8Nm.
The ride of the scooter is handled by a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. For braking, it employs a disc up front and a drum brake at the back.
The Modenas Karisma 125S is priced at RM 5,397 (excluding insurance and road tax cost) (Rs 96,813). In India, if you are looking to buy a sporty 125cc scooter, the TVS NTorq 125 and Suzuki Avenis are options that you can consider.

Sporty and stylish looking scooter. The scooter provides comfort for long distance travels. The quick acceleration is also a key factor. Best scooter in this price range with 125cc and disc brake and bluetooth feature. Positives include the price mainly, then there are the looks, about how sporty it looks. Having bluetooth at the price range is a steal. usually, base models scooters in this price range doesn't offer disc brake, they are usually drum brakes which is not the case here. Yes, I would absolutely love to recommend this scooter with anybody. The bluetooth disc brakes and price range will be the main reason for it. Also, TVS provides great service. Purchased the scooty in feb 2026 and so far have driven nearly 3500 kms. The scooty is awesome to ride, easy to handle, and easy to maintain. One can expect mileage of 40-41 kmpl in city.
