KTM 390 Adventure X To Receive A Big Update

Our dealership sources have revealed that an updated version of the KTM 390 Adventure X will be launched within a few weeks. This updated version is expected to be called the ‘KTM 390 Adventure X Plus. The update will likely include some additional features, along with a price hike. When compared to the top-spec 390 Adventure, the X misses out on tubeless spoke wheels (gets alloys instead), adjustable suspension, cornering ABS, switchable traction control, cruise control and ride modes. Other than this, the bikes use the same engine, chassis and bodywork, but with different paint schemes.
Even though the KTM 390 Adventure X is Rs 76,559 more affordable than the regular 390 Adventure, it seems like riders were craving for a bit more practical features in the X. To solve this, KTM seems to be bringing out the updated X Plus. As per our dealer sources, the X Plus is expected to get switchable traction control and cruise control. As experienced on the top-spec 390 Adventure, both of these features work seamlessly and would surely help the X Plus in offering a slightly better touring experience. If we’re being a bit more optimistic, KTM may also update the X Plus with ride modes, which should make the bike a lot easier to use in different conditions. Other than these changes, the bike is expected to remain unchanged and retain the same styling and paint schemes.
Currently the KTM 390 Adventure X is priced at Rs 2,91,140 (ex-showroom Delhi). Our dealer sources say the upcoming X Plus is expected to receive a price hike of Rs 10,000 to 15,000 will be launched within a few weeks. If the bike gets all the speculated updates, then even with the expected price hike, the X Plus variant will still remain a value-for-money ADV to consider.

On highway I am getting mileage of 30 to 37 kmpl depends on engine rpm this bike effortlessly crush on 120kmph to 140kmph with any engine stress also riding poser is good comfortable in city it's easy to manoeuvre in traffic. - My First KTM - Powerful and comfortableFirst time KTM owner. Wanted a bike mainly for highway touring and city rides. X plus felt balanced and practical not extreme offroad. Test ride at KTM helped decide. Always wanted a KTM but due to my tall height was waiting for a taller bike, which I got atlast Done around 4500kms already in 4 months. Very stable on highways and easily touches 150kmph. City riding is okay but heats up in traffic but that is expected because the engine is a highly compressed 400cc single cylinder. Mileage is 19-20 in city and around 28 in highways. Yes, I would recommend it for riders who want touring comfort, strong performance and balanced offroad ability.
