A 29 year old from Tamil Nadu, V Boopathi, has bought the Bajaj Dominar 400 with one rupee coins amounting to Rs 2.6 Lakh! You read that right. Boopathi, who is a YouTuber, proves to us that with undying dedication, you can buy your dream motorcycle. He achieved his dream by saving one rupee coins for the last three years.

Boopathi arrived at the showroom with a tempo full of coins one afternoon and even brought along a wheelbarrow to carry the coins. It reportedly took the showroom staff of five, along with four of Boopathi’s friends, about 10 hours to count the whole payment. This out of a story-book incident took place in Salem, Tamil Nadu at a Bajaj showroom.

Boopathi's dream bike, the Bajaj Dominar 400, is one of the most capable sub-500cc sports tourers in the country. It is powered by a 373.3cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 40PS and 35Nm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox and gets assist & slipper clutch. In Tamil Nadu, the on-road price of Bajaj’s flagship bike is Rs 2.6 lakh. The 2021 iteration, launched in December 2021, comes with a variety of touring-friendly bits making the motorcycle even more wholesome than before.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 is a great urban motorcycle and it rivals the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R, and the Honda CB300R.

Great bike. Best for touring specially with its touring accessories. No other bike at this price can beat it's performance. Maintenance is affordable if we consider the engine size. I manage to record milage of 30kmpl on long journey on this bike. Great choice for bike enthusiasts. Now selling it as I am unable to give time to my bike. Due to busyness.
