Yamaha R15 New Anniversary Colour Launched

Although this paint scheme look super tempting, you won’t be able to get your hands on it yet

Yamaha has launched a 70th Anniversary special edition of the R15, marking seven decades of the brand’s rich motorsport legacy worldwide. While the Yamaha R15 has already established itself as a popular offering in our market, this new paint scheme brings a strong sense of the brand’s racing heritage, something enthusiasts would definitely appreciate.

Tribute to Yamaha’s Racing DNA

The anniversary edition features a striking gloss red-and-white livery, inspired by Yamaha’s iconic race machines from the 1990s. Drawing design cues from the legendary YZF-R7, the bike gets classic race-style graphics paired with elegant golden-coloured inverted fork.

The Yamaha R15’s sharp supersport design blends well with this heritage-inspired colour scheme, giving it a factory-finished race-bike vibe. Special editions like this often attract riders who want their motorcycle to stand out, without resorting to aftermarket modifications, especially in a segment where looks matter just as much as performance.

Will It Be Launched In India

For now, the 70th Anniversary colour option is exclusive to Indonesia. While Yamaha India hasn’t confirmed anything yet, the brand reduced R15’s price to celebrate the same occasion. That said, we would also love to see the R15 in those colour and hope Yamaha is listening.

In a related development, Yamaha also introduced the 70th anniversary special edition for the XSR155.
