    Quick News Highlights:

    • All-new 890cc V-twin engine replaces older 955cc motor

    • Power drops to 120PS, but the bike’s lighter than before

    • Starting price is Rs 1.56 lakh lower than the outgoing model

Ducati has launched the 2025 Panigale V2 in India priced at Rs 19.12 lakh for the standard variant, and Rs 21.10 lakh (ex-showroom) for the ‘S’ variant. The new starting price undercuts the older version by Rs 1.56 lakh. The bike made its global debut at EICMA 2024, and this new one focuses on being lighter, easier to ride, more user-friendly – rather than being track-focused.

    Design & Styling

Visually, the 2025 Ducati Panigale V2 retains the brand’s signature styling – sharp, aerodynamic, and unmistakably Panigale. The overall design and split headlamps are shared with the 2025 Ducati Panigale V4, and both variants are offered in a single Ducati Red livery. The V2 S comes in a single-seat configuration, while the standard bike has a dual-seat setup.

    Engine, Performance, Gearbox, Service

The 2025 Panigale V2 is powered by an 890cc, 90-degree V-twin engine shared with the just launched 2025 Ducati Multistrada V2. Here, it makes 120PS at 10,750rpm, 93.3Nm at 8,250rpm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist-and-slip clutch, bidirectional quickshifter.

While this is a drop of 35PS compared to the 955cc ‘Superquadro’ engine, Ducati says the new motor is designed for better real-world usability and smoother power delivery. The oil service interval is every 15,000km or 24 months, while valve clearance checks are due at 45,000km – which is much longer than before, because Ducati replaced the ‘Desmodromic’ valves with easier and cheaper to maintain standard spring operated ones.

    Chassis, Suspension, Brakes, Tyres, Dimensions

This Ducati bike uses a new monocoque aluminium frame, and has a 43mm Marzocchi fully adjustable inverted fork and Kayaba monoshock. The V2 S, meanwhile, gets Öhlins NIX30 fork and monoshock - both fully adjustable. It has Brembo M50 monobloc calipers with 320mm dual front discs and a 245mm rear disc. Both variants get Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres measuring 120-section at the front and 190 at the rear. The V2 weighs 179kg including fluids but without fuel (177.6kg for the S variant). On the other hand, the older bike weighed 200kg kerb (including all fluids). The seat height is 837mm and fuel tank 15 litres.

    Features & Electronics

The 2025 Ducati Panigale bike gets a 5-inch TFT console that shows the speedometer, tachometer, fuel level, gear position indicator, coolant and air temperatures. It also has switchable dual-channel ABS, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, slide control, engine brake control, launch control, pit speed limiter, and 4 ride modes: Race, Sport, Road, Wet. It has all-LED lights and auto-off indicators as well.

    Competition & Rivals

With its new lower pricing and smaller 890cc engine, it now sits closer to the middleweight supersport segment – rivaling the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R, Aprilia RS 660, Yamaha YZF-R9, and KTM 990 RC R – at least in terms of performance.

    BikeDekho Says

The 2025 Ducati Panigale V2 may have lost some horsepower, but it gains back with reduced weight, better electronics, improved accessibility, and most importantly a lower starting price. It seems to be the more ‘sensible’ Panigale – ideal for those who want to ride to the track effortlessly, have fun and come back, or even weekend rides for that matter. The brand had also recently launched the 2025 Ducati Multistrada V2 with the same engine and a couple of other changes. Apart from the baby Panigale and Multistrada, here are all the other top two-wheelers that launched in October 2025.
