The Hero Karizma XMR 250 was showcased at the EICMA Auto Expo in 2024 alongside its naked sibling, the Xtreme 250R. Fast forward to today, the production-ready version of the Karizma XMR 250 has been spied undisguised at a dealership, revealing exciting details such as an inverted fork, a tall windscreen, and winglets to increase its sporty appeal. Here's a closer look:
What's New?

From the spy shots, we can see the bike finished in a new all-black paint scheme with sporty red graphics. This is different from the white and red paint scheme that was showcased at the EICMA Auto Expo. It gets all-LED lighting with a multi-projector LED headlamp and LED DRLs. It also gets a prominent windscreen, which is bigger than that found on the Karizma XMR 210, which would help with wind buffeting at high speeds. We can also see a golden-coloured inverted fork, which adds to the premium appeal of the motorcycle.

From the side, we can see a muscular fuel tank similar to that found on the Xtreme 250R. The spy shots also reveal winglets attached to the fairings that give the bike an aggressive look, something that was also showcased on the concept bike. The bike also gets adjustible clip-on handlebars, along with a split seat and rear-set footpegs that give it a sporty riding position.

The bike will be powered by the same 249cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine as the Xtreme 250R, making 30PS and 25Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Hardware-wise, it might share the same trellis frame as its naked sibling, along with the inverted fork and a 6-step adjustible monoshock. It will ride on 17-inch wheels with disc brakes at both ends.

Features-wise, we expect a TFT console similar to that found on the Karizma XMR 210 Combat Edition, with Bluetooth connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation and call and SMS alerts. It is also expected to get a lap timer and a drag timer for performance tracking. In terms of safety features, the bike is expected to come with dual-channel ABS with switchable rear ABS and ABS modes, similar to those of the Xtreme 250R.
BikeDekho Says
The Hero Karizma XMR 210 was a solid motorcycle with a potent engine, but it lacked the commercial success Hero hoped for. However, with the XMR 250, Hero plans to change that by offering a more stylish design, more power, and more features.

The spied Hero bike looks production-ready, and we could expect the launch in the coming months. The bike is expected to be launched at Rs 2.00 lakh (ex-showroom) It will be Hero's flagship product till the upcoming XPulse 421 arrives and will rival the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and the upcoming Yamaha R2.
