KTM’s Maddest Naked Yet: 1390 Super Duke RR Revealed
The 1390 Super Duke RR is the craziest KTM street-legal bike to date!
Just when you thought things couldn’t get crazier, KTM has taken the covers off the most hardcore iteration of its flagship naked, the 1390 Super Duke RR. And as expected, it’s sharper, lighter and far more track-focused than the standard bike.
More Extreme Than Ever
The Super Duke range last saw an RR version back in 2021, when it was still based on the 1290 platform. Now, with the bigger 1390 platform in play, KTM has pushed things even further. The new RR makes extensive use of carbon fibre, resulting in a claimed wet weight (without fuel) of just 189kg! For reference, the 2026 Bajaj Dominar 400 has a kerb weight of 190kg.
Track-Spec Suspension Setup
The biggest upgrade comes in the form of suspension. The RR ditches the WP APEX (and even the semi-active setup on the EVO) for a full WP Pro Components package. Up front, you get a closed-cartridge fork with fully adjustable compression and rebound damping.
At the rear, the new WP 8750 monoshock has been developed specifically for the RR, featuring a larger piston and improved internals for better stability and control when pushed to the limit. It’s also fully adjustable, including high- and low-speed compression settings.

KTM 350cc Bikes Launch TimelineSome Serious Braking
Braking performance has also been dialled up a couple of notches. The RR uses Brembo’s new HyPure monobloc callipers, which are not only lighter than the Stylema units but also offer better bite. KTM claims they require less lever effort and offer shorter lever travel.
The setup includes twin 320mm discs at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear, along with adjustable levers and self-venting hydraulic lines (brake lines which automatically remove trapped air).
Lighter Wheels, Stickier Tyres
The bike rides on forged seven-spoke alloy wheels inspired by KTM’s MotoGP machine, the KTM RC16. These wheels are claimed to be significantly lighter than the standard ones and come wrapped in Michelin Power GP tyres.
Same Brutal Engine, Meaner Sound
Powering the RR is the same 1,350cc LC8 V-twin engine producing a monstrous 190PS and 138Nm. While the motor remains unchanged, it now comes paired with a titanium Akrapovi? slip-on exhaust, which not only reduces weight but also enhances the bike’s already aggressive soundtrack.
Electronics: Fully Loaded
The RR comes standard with KTM’s Tech Pack, which includes everything from a bidirectional quickshifter and launch control to traction control, wheelie control, and multiple riding modes.
There’s also a dedicated Track mode and an exclusive Beast mode, which reduces electronic intervention to the bare minimum while still keeping things road-legal.
Limited Production, India Inbound?
KTM will produce just 350 units of the 1390 Super Duke RR globally, making it an ultra-exclusive machine.
While India currently gets the KTM 1390 Super Duke R, priced at Rs 22,95,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi), there’s no confirmation yet on whether the RR will make it to our shores. Given its limited production and premium pricing (around Rs 28-30 lakh equivalent), chances are slim, but not impossible.
