Quick Highlights

  • Gets an updated engine, chassis and new features

  • Panigale V4 S gets colours from Lamborghini's catalogue

  • Expected to launch in India as well

Ducati has unveiled the 2027 Panigale V4 and V4 S with a few important updates. Here’s a closer look at what’s changed:

Revised Engine With More Power

The 2027 Panigale V4 continues to use the same 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, but now produces a peak power of 218 PS, compared to 216 PS on the 2026 bike. To achieve this, Ducati has revised the air intake, lubrication circuit, as well as the exhaust system. However, peak torque has slightly dropped from 120.9 Nm to 120.6 Nm.

Ducati has also altered the final gearing of the bike. The 2027 model gets longer gearing with a 17/42 sprocket setup, compared to the 16/41 setup earlier. Along with that, Ducati has also increased the rev limiter to 15,000 RPM between 2nd and 5th gear. The brand claims this helps improve lap times by reducing the need for frequent gear changes.

Updated Chassis

Ducati claims that it has reduced the lateral stiffness of the frame by 12 percent to improve front-end grip and provide better feedback while cornering.

The underpinnings of the bikes, however, remain mostly unchanged. The standard Panigale V4 gets a fully adjustable Showa inverted fork and a Sachs monoshock. The V4 S, meanwhile, gets more premium Ohlins suspension at both ends. The V4 S is also available with new adjustable clip-on handlebars for track use, which raise the handlebar height by 10mm for better leverage.

More Features

The Ducati bikes get two new rider aids: Dynamic Engine Brake and Race Brake Control. The Dynamic Engine Brake replaces the existing Engine Brake Control system and uses the DHO (Ducati Vehicle Observer) algorithm to modulate the bike's engine braking depending on the front tyre load.

The Race Brake Control, on the other hand, according to the brand, improves the rear wheel's contribution during braking. Combined, these new rider aids aim to improve lap times by allowing riders to have greater control over the braking parameters.

New Colours From Lamborghini's Catalogue

The updated Panigale V4 S is now part of Ducati's bespoke Factory Made customisation programme. Buyers can choose from 11 bespoke colours, including five from Lamborghini's Ad Personam programme, along with two special Corse and Performance liveries.

2027 Ducati Panigale V4: India Launch Timeline

The updated Panigale V4 and V4 S are expected to arrive at European dealerships in March 2027, followed by the US in April 2026. However, Ducati has not announced an India launch timeline yet.

The current Panigale V4 is priced at Rs 32.7 lakh, while the V4 S costs Rs 39.8 lakh (both ex-showroom). We expect the added equipment and more power to make the bikes more expensive than before.
