Royal Enfield’s first electric bike, the Flying Flea C6, has been seen testing in Chennai without any camouflage. This is the clearest look yet at the production-spec model, indicating that the bike is almost ready for launch.
Classic Design
The production-spec Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 stays very close to the concept model. It has a round headlamp, a girder fork, a clean and minimal body design. The exposed frame and right-side belt drive are clearly visible. The pillion seat is clearly visible in this spy shot, likely removeable – but it appears to be small as the rider's backpack is clearly intruding into the space, so it won't be as roomy as other bikes from Royal Enfield. That said, we like the design of the split grab rails, and it also had a centre stand. The riding posture appears upright and relaxed, matching its retro roadster positioning.
Expected Specifications
While official specifications are yet to be revealed, this Royal Enfield bike is expected to offer performance similar to a 125-150cc petrol bike. It will use a mid-mounted motor with belt drive, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
The battery pack could be around 4-5 kWh, offering a real-world range of 100-150km. The battery will be air-cooled via the fins on the casing, and just like the concept – we hope it will have a magnesium casing to keep the weight in check, also IP67 dust-and-water resistance.
India Launch Timeline Confirmed
During a recent investor call, Royal Enfield confirmed that the C6 is almost production-ready and will launch in the next quarter – pointing to a debut sometime in April 2026. The rollout is expected to be phased, starting with select cities.
The second model under the Flying Flea sub-brand, the S6 scrambler, is scheduled to arrive around the time of EICMA 2026 in November. Production of the electric range will take place at the company’s soon-to-be expanded Cheyyar plant in Tamil Nadu.
