Keeway recently launched its first naked bike in India, the K300 N, with the intention of grabbing a share of the lucrative 300cc naked segment. Priced at Rs 2,65,000 (ex-showroom India), it is the most affordable Keeway bike in the country. If you’re planning to buy this naked, here are the top five important facts you need to know:
Pricing and variants:
The Keeway K300 N is available in only one variant, but comes in three different colour schemes. The base Matte White colour option costs Rs 2,65,000 whereas the Matte Red retails at Rs 2,75,000. The range-topping Matte Black is pegged at Rs 2,85,000 (all prices ex-showroom India). The premium for the other two colours is quite high considering the liveries aren’t substantially different from each other. Bookings are open on Keeway’s official website for a sum of Rs 10,000.
Sporty yet familiar design:
The Keeway K300 N bears an uncanny resemblance to the CFMoto 300NK, so much so that it seems like a rebadged bike. Having said that, the design in itself is pretty sporty and does justice to the genre.
It’s got a muscular fuel tank with beefy tank extensions complementing the slim LED headlight. The underbelly exhaust keeps the visual (and literal) mass centralised and is complemented well by the sleek upswept tail section with split seats. The rear number plate is integrated into the tyre hugger, lending the bike a properly sporty look.
Reasonable list of features:
Keeway has equipped the K300 N with all-LED lighting and the instrument cluster is an LCD unit. It does not get smartphone connectivity, but does come with a hazard light function. The motorcycle also features dual-channel ABS and more importantly, Keeway says the bike gets two riding modes as well.

Modern powertrain:
The Keeway K300 N is powered by a 292.4cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine churning out 27.8PS and 25Nm, working in tandem with a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. The output figures are nothing home to talk about as its primary rival, the KTM 250 Duke makes 30PS and 24Nm from its smaller 248.7cc heart.
Premium underpinnings:
Keeway has built the K300 N on a trellis frame linked to a 37mm inverted fork up front and a rear monoshock. The motorcycle rolls on 17-inch alloys wrapped with CST RideMigra S1 radial tyres at both ends. Compared to conventional tyres, radial units have more flexible sidewall, which offer better cornering confidence.
Braking is via a 292mm front with a radial caliper and a 220mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS. At 151kg, the Keeway K300 N is one of the lightest in its segment. It also gets a decent 12.5-litre fuel tank and the seat height is a fairly accessible 795mm. The ground clearance, too, is decent at 150mm.
Rivals and Verdict:
The Keeway K300 N takes the fight to the BMW G 310 R (Rs 2,70,000 ex-showroom India), KTM 250 Duke (Rs 2,37,222 ex-showroom Delhi), and the Honda CB300R (Rs 2,77,000, ex-showroom Delhi).
All in all, the K300 N is a sporty naked but is a little too expensive for what it offers (at least on paper), especially considering the fact that you get more premium-looking, more powerful and feature-packed alternatives for around the same price.
