Royal Enfield will soon launch the BS6-compliant Interceptor 650. Here’s what it could be like
Royal Enfield recently launched the BS6 Classic 350. Next on the line is the Himalayan whose BS6 version has been spotted at Royal Enfield dealerships ahead of its official launch. While most Royal Enfield motorcycles will be updated to BS6 norms, there are a few which will be discontinued. The BS6 Interceptor 650 will be launching soon and some dealerships have started accepting bookings for the motorcycle. While the Interceptor 650 will cost more, it could get a few cosmetic and feature updates to match. Here are the updates the BS6 Interceptor could come with.
Updated BS6 motor:
Most BS6-compliant motorcycles make less power and torque than their BS4 predecessors thanks to the updated exhaust systems that restrict performance. While Royal Enfield is expected to update the Interceptor’s exhaust setup, we expect the motorcycle to retain its 47PS and 52Nm power outputs. That’s because the current BS4 motor runs a relaxed state of tune and could be updated for more performance. We expect Royal Enfield to fettle with the BS6 motor to compensate for any drop in performance from the restrictive exhaust system.
New colours:
The current Interceptor is available in six colours. We expect the BS6 motorcycle to come with new two tone colours and possibly special edition colours similar to the Redditch edition and Signals edition seen on the Classic 350 motorcycles. The BS6 Interceptor could feature new graphics as well.
New features?
The Interceptor 650 gets all the features you’d expect from a retro motorcycle. We do not expect the BS6 motorcycle to get new features except for alloy wheels. Royal Enfield could introduce a special edition variant and equip it with alloy wheels.
Price hike:
With the BS6 upgrades, a price hike is inevitable. We expect the BS6 Interceptor 650 to command a premium of Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000 over the BS4 Interceptor 650. The new motorcycle could cost around Rs 2.62 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is expected to launch in the next couple of months.

You should have Muscle power to control this above 20 year old person should buy this because if customer weight is not much then he can't even move it while off.
