BS6 Hero Splendor, HF Deluxe, Glamour To Be Launched Soon
The brand is planning to launch 10 BS6-compliant two-wheelers by February next year
- BS6-complaint Hero Glamour was spotted recently.
- For now, the Splendor iSmart is the only BS6-compliant Hero product on sale.
- Hero will increase the price of its entire model lineup by up to Rs 2,000 from next month.
Hero MotoCorp currently has only one BS6-compliant two-wheeler in its portfolio - the Splendor iSmart. However, the bike maker will launch not one, but around 10 BS6 two-wheelers by February next year. According to an online report, Hero will launch the updated Splendor, HF Deluxe, Glamour and Maestro Edge 125 in the coming few weeks.
Interestingly, the BS6-compliant Glamour was spotted a few weeks back. So it might be the second motorcycle from Hero to adhere to the upcoming emission norms. The spy shots didn’t reveal much, but we expect the updated motorcycle to get a slight cosmetic update along with a new motor. There’s a possibility that the BS6-compliant two-wheelers will make less power and torque compared to their predecessors. However, the updated two-wheelers will be greener and more fuel-efficient than before.
The BS6-compliant two-wheelers are likely to get a price increment of around 10 to 15 per cent. But before the official launch, the Indian bike maker will increase the price of its entire two-wheeler lineup by up to Rs 2,000. So if you are planning to buy a Hero two-wheeler, now is the right time before the company hikes the prices.
