Suzuki has launched its ADV tourer, the V-Strom SX, in India at Rs 2,11,600 (ex-showroom Delhi). The ADV has been in the works for the past few years now and marks Suzuki’s entry into the much popular small displacement adventure motorcycle segment. Here is all that the bike packs.
The adventure motorcycle takes design cues from its older sibling, the new Suzuki V-Strom 1050, with a sharp beak, slim body design, edgy body panels, and fuel tank extensions flowing downwards. It gets octagonal shaped LED headlights (borrowed from the Gixxer 250) and a fairly big visor. It is also equipped with a split seat set up and LED taillights. The overall appearance of the bike is sharp, making it seem capable of doing what an adventure motorcycle is meant for.
Powering the V-Strom SX is the same engine as the Gixxer 250: 249cc, single-cylinder oil-cooled engine. It even produces the same power of 26.5PS and 22.2Nm, as its faired sibling. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

On the features front, the Suzuki V-Strom SX comes packed with a fully digital instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, and displays info such as call notifications, message alerts, speed exceeding warning, phone battery level display and ETA. It also features a USB charging socket and Suzuki Easy start system.
The ADV is suspended on a telescopic fork up front with 1200mm of travel, and a monoshock at the rear with 7-step preload adjustability. The braking duties are handled by discs on both ends with dual-channel ABS. The bike rolls on 19 inch front and 17 inch rear cast aluminium wheels.
With a price tag of Rs 2,11,600, the Suzuki V-Strom SX is an attractive product in the adventure motorcycle segment, and is more affordable than its rivals, the KTM 250 Adventure (Rs 2,35,802) and Benelli TRK 251 (Rs. 2,59,000), and priced just slightly higher than the recently launched Royal Enfield Scram 411 (Rs. 2,03,000).

Suzuki Vstorm is a bike with totally different looks it’s a Sports tourer or simply an ADV, comfortable for both city as well as long rides, the power delivery is extremely well just a push of throttle and you are flying away from the traffic, the seat is comfortable and does not hurt your back as the seating position is straight and little bit committed and have a space enough to move around comfortably to find the best seating position, while riding you are sitting very high and feels like driving an SUV of Bike, the suspension is neither too soft nor hard and adjustable and absorbs most of the shocks saving your back, both the rear tyre and front are very broad to give you complete control while riding on bad roads and ABS is a cherry in top. Overall a very nice bike which you can run day and night and will not you ask anything more from you as the maintenance is also not very high.Read More
