Simple Energy is preparing to launch two new electric scooters in the coming months, and they will be more affordable than the Simple One. The Simple One is quite expensive at Rs 1.45 lakh, so it makes sense for the brand to offer cheaper alternatives.
How Will They Get Cheaper
The mid-spec scooter might not have the same 1.5kWh removable battery pack as the Simple One, which will help lower its price to around Rs 1 lakh. The most affordable scooter, meanwhile, could have a smaller battery pack, resulting in a reduced range. To further reduce the price, Simple could even remove some features, similar to what Ather did with the 450S. Simple might aim for a price tag below Rs 1 lakh, but the revised FAME II norms could pose challenges for the brand.
