Hero MotoCorp has launched a new family-oriented scooter in the country - the Hero Destini 110. It shares the same engine as the Hero Xoom 110, but comes in a different neo-retro design - essentially a scaled-down version of the new-generation Hero Destini 125. Here’s everything you need to know:

Hero Destini 110 Pricing And Variant Details:

The Hero Destini 110 comes in two variants: VX Cast Drum with a front drum brake, and ZX Cast Disc with a front disc brake as well as a cushioned pillion backrest integrated into the pillion grab rail. Here’s the variant-wise pricing along with a comparison with the Xoom 110:

Do note that all prices are ex-showroom Delhi. Also note that the Destini 110’s prices are all introductory. Expect the prices to go up by a few thousand rupees in the future.

The VX is available in Eternal White, Matt Steel Grey and Nexus Blue, whereas the top-end ZX gets Aqua Grey, Nexus Blue and Groovy Red colour options. Apart from these, the other features of the scooter are common across both variants.

Retro-Modern Looks:

Interestingly, the design is pretty much exactly like the Hero Destini 125. The headlight cowl, apron, side panel and tail section design are all similar. It even gets a projector LED headlight and LED tail light for optimum illumination. Metal body panels, chrome elements on the apron, side panels and near the tail light give it a premium appeal. All in all, it’s a neat-looking scooter that will appeal to both younger riders and family buyers alike.

Xoom-Derived Engine:

The Destini 110 shares the same 110.9cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as the Hero Xoom 110, so it makes the same power and torque too - 8.15PS and 8.70Nm. Hero claims the Destini 110 returns 56.2kmpl, which is pretty decent for a 110cc scooter. The engine also comes with Idle stop-start System (i3S tech) which switches off the engine while idling in traffic for a while to conserve fuel. It turns back on the moment you twist the throttle. We found the engine in the Xoom to be one of the peppiest in the segment, so expect the same story with the Destini 110 as well.

Decent Feature-Set:

Hero has equipped the Destini 110 with a semi-digital instrument console. There’s no connectivity, though. The underseat storage (Hero hasn’t specified the capacity) comes with a boot light, and there’s an open cubbyhole on the apron with a USB charging port close to it. Hero claims the 785mm long seat is the longest in segment, but we’ll be able to verify the claim only once we get to ride it.

Underpinnings And Other Details:

The Destini 110 comes with just the right combo to tackle Indian roads: 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres at both ends (90-section front, 100-section rear), decent 162mm ground clearance, telescopic fork and single rear shock absorber. The disc variant comes with a 190mm front disc, whereas the rear uses a drum brake on both variants, with combined braking system as standard. At 770mm, the seat is pretty accessible, and the 114kg kerb weight should be manageable for most riders too. Fuel tank capacity stands at 5.3 litres.

The Hero Destini scooters lineup started its life as a conservatively designed, and more importantly, affordable 125cc scooter. With the newer generation versions, it has evolved into a neat-looking neo-retro scooter that is still loved by families and the youth alike. Even though the Hero Pleasure Plus has been in the game longer than the Destini, it managed to sell only around 10,954 units in the last financial year (April 2024 to May 2025), as opposed to the Destini 125’s 19,411 units in the same period.

So with the Destini 110, Hero seems to be trying to replicate the Destini 125’s winning formula, but in the 110cc segment. This also explains the fact that the design looks pretty identical. Add in the Xoom’s potent 110cc engine, and you’ve got a promising scooter that will (hopefully) drive in good sales numbers, especially this festive season where small-capacity two-wheelers just got cheaper with GST 2.0. The Destini 110 also gives Hero a fighting chance against the domination of the Honda Activa 110 in the segment.
