BMW CEO, Markus Flasch, has given us a first look of the upcoming F 450 GS adventure bike. The ADV will make its official debut tomorrow (November 4) at EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy.
The upcoming adventure bike will feature a new 450cc twin-cylinder engine that has been jointly-developed with TVS. It will replace the BMW G 310 GS, to become the cheapest BMW adventure bike in India, as well as the world. That said, its India launch is expected to happen in 2026 and it could be priced about Rs 5 lakh. While that’s in no way cheap, it will have specifications to match.
For starters, its engine could make about 48PS but here’s the fun bit. The BMW F 450 GS will not only have a 6-speed manual gearbox, but also a semi-automatic gearbox like the R 1300 GS. Its equipment list will include adjustable long-travel suspension with a golden-coloured fork, disc brakes, and most importantly, tubeless spoke wheels – 19-inch front, 17-inch rear – with off-road biased tyres. With everything, it could weigh about 190kg (kerb). That said, the bike could have another road-biased variant with 17-inch alloy wheels, that was spotted earlier in Europe. The same variant was also spotted testing in India.

The other interesting bits on the bike are a TFT console, LED headlights with X-shaped DRLs like the 1300, knuckle guards, a single-piece seat, a blacked-out windscreen, underbelly bashplate, and an upswept exhaust.
When launched in India, it will rival the bikes like the Honda NX 500, Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr, and the Benelli TRK 502. It's other more affordable single-cylinder rivals will be the Royal Enfield Himalayan, and the KTM 390 Adventure.
