Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the updated 2025 Hornet 2.0 with more features, new colours, and OBD2B compliance. It has been priced at Rs 1,56,953 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is an increase of Rs 13,502 over the previous model. The bike is available at all Honda RedWing and BigWing dealerships across the country.
Design
The 2025 Honda Hornet 2.0 gets new graphics and is available in a total of four colour options: Pearl Igneous Black, Radiant Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, and Matt Axis Gray Metallic.
Engine
The updated Honda Hornet 2.0 is now compliant with the OBD2B (On-Board Diagnostics 2B) emission standards. Powering the Hornet 2.0 is a 184.4cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 17PS at 8,500rpm, 15.7Nm at 6,000rpm, and is paired to a five-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The slip-and-assist clutch reduces the risk of the rear wheel locking up during aggressive downshifting. Compared to its predecessor, the bike sees a slight decrease in power and torque - from 17.2PS to 17PS, and 15.9Nm to 15.7Nm.
Features
A standout feature of the Honda Hornet is the new 4.2-inch TFT display, which comes with Bluetooth connectivity through the Honda RoadSync app. It allows riders to access navigation, incoming call alerts, and SMS notifications. Additionally, it gets LED lighting all around, a hazard light switch, and a USB C-type charging port. Safety wise, the motorcycle gets switchable traction control and dual-channel ABS.
Underpinnings
Suspension wise, the motorcycle has a golden coloured inverted fork and a monoshock. It has 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, with 110-section tyre at the front and a 140-section at the rear. For braking, it has a 276mm front disc and a 220mm one at the rear. The kerb weight of the bike is 142kg, it has a ground clearance of 167mm, a seat height of 790mm, and a 12-litre fuel tank capacity.
Rivals
The Hornet directly rivals the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. You also have the option to look at other liquid-cooled, more powerful bikes such as the Yamaha MT-15, and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 in the same price bracket.

- Good comfort and HandlingI found this bike with unique design and features in affordable price, I like it's bulk tire, comfort and handling with excellent 185 CC power and affordable mileage, it solved my travelling problem of daily use and mid long drives. Good handling and comfort but getting different noise from engine after 50 speed, sometimes gear is getting stuck when trying to switch faster otherwise bike is good for comfort, handling, pickup and power. Navigation map should display the full map instead if only arrow and direction, small carrier should be there to keep some tools for minor mechanics, display should big 1 inch more, big foot pedal should be there for back seat.Read More2 4
