Benelli’s Full-Faired Tornado 302 Unveiled

First showcased at the 73rd EICMA in Italy, Benelli Tornado 302 has now been introduced at the 2016 Indian Auto expo in Delhi. The bike is expected to be launched in the country by mid-2016 and will give the buyers a good option in the 300cc segment. Once launched, the bike is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs. 3 lac and will stand head to head with the Yamaha YZF-R3.

Powering the bike is a 300cc, four-stroke, inline twin cylinder engine that has been linked to a six-speed transmission. The engine churns out a maximum power of 34.81 bhp at 12,000 rpm with a peak torque of 27 Nm at 9,000 rpm. Built on a steel trellis frame, the bike has been equipped with 41mm inverted forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. The bike will roll on 110/70-ZR17 front and 150/60-ZR17 rear Metzeler tubeless tyres that have been mounted over 17-inch alloy wheels. Benelli Tornado 302 has been fitted with a 14-liter fuel tank with a total kerb weight of 180kgs.
