5% percent sales growth in January for TVS Motors

Beginning of 2012 has given reasons for celebrations to legendary auto manufacturing company TVS Motor, as according to sales statistics reports revealed by company it has recorded sales growth of 5% during month of January 2012. According to monthly sales records revealed by TVS Motor company recorded sales of 173,514 units (including 171,112 two wheelers and 2402 t here wheelers) as compared to 161,725 vehicles ( of which 161,725 were two wheelers and 3,427 three wheelers) sold during the same month in January 2011.

The disappointing factor that needs to be paid attention is that sales performance of TVS motorcycles recorded a decline of 2,113 units sold during January 2011. But the encouraging point to note here is that company witnessed an increase in sales of scooters and mopeds which was 41,469 units of scooters and 66,437 mopeds sold during January 2012 as compared to 40,736 scooters and 56,695 mopeds sold during January 2011. The sales reports also depict decline in exports from company with exports coming down to 18,610 units during January 2012 as compared to 21,224 sold during the same month in January 2011.

According to sales statistics the cumulative sales growth of company between April 2011 and January 2012 recorded an increase of 10% as compared to sales noticed during same period in the pervious year. Recently during Auto Expo 2012 company has announced to manufacture eco-friendly vehicles which will be helpful in reducing C02 levels in environment. The upcoming vehicles coming up from TVS will be based on green engine technology which is known as TVS Automatic Transmission. This new feature will take over continuously variably transmission technology which will be helpful in improving the fuel efficiency of TVS variants. According to reports the new technology will be introduced in various TVS products in different phases.
