399cc KTM 390 Duke Gets the ‘R’ Stickers
With the new ‘R’ badging, it’s different from the 350cc Duke

KTM bikes with the R in their names have always been more hardcore versions of the standard bikes – KTM 1390 Super Duke R, KTM 890 Duke R, and in recent times, the KTM 390 Duke R. Now the latter also gets the R graphics on the tank extensions to make it stand apart from the 350 KTM 390 Duke.
Both the bikes are significantly different from each other in terms of performance as well as price.

The new ‘R’ badging on the Duke gives it a more aggressive visual appeal. This new badging also blends well with the overall aesthetic of the bike. Earlier, the only way to differentiate the R variant from the standard one was by looking at the colour of the chassis. Duke R gets an orange-coloured chassis while the 350cc Duke gets a black-coloured chassis.
Except for the graphics and the engine, everything else is the same in the two bikes. The features list on both the bikes includes a 5-inch TFT display, assist and slipper clutch, riding modes: Street, Rain, and Track, cornering ABS and traction control, and more.

All said, the price difference between the two is quite drastic – almost Rs 60,000. However, that makes the choice that much easier. If you are on a relatively tight budget, and don’t mind the slightly lower performance, you can get the 350cc Duke. However, if you want the most hardcore performance and don’t have budget constraints, the KTM 390 Duke R is your choice.

- 2025 duke 390Its a great bike for beginners. The quick shifter, cruise control feature and the throttle response makes the ride really smooth. My experience with bike has been amazing and even on long rides the ride is comfortable. There is nothing more to say about it, you just have to experience it. At this price range, I don't think you will find a bike with these many features.Read More1 1
- The beast on the loose 9k driven only KTM Duke 390Most aggressive 398 cc powerful bike only driven 9000 km in less than 2 yrs. It delivers a surgical riding experience with a punchy engine that surprisingly settles into great fuel economy on long highway scratches. It just got minor scratches on tank pad else its mechanically mint. If you want raw power then this is for you.Read More4 5
