Honda has launched the 2025 Rebel 500 in India at a price of Rs 5.12 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle gets retro-modern design and a twin-cylinder engine along with only some necessary features. Let's have a closer look at this new launch from Honda.
Design
The Honda Rebel 500 looks like a proper retro-modern cruiser style motorcycle with its well-sculpted, high mounted fuel tank and low-set rider seat. It is offered in only one colour option called the Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic colour. This gives the Rebel 500 an all black appearance which goes well with the overall design of the motorcycle.
Engine
It is powered by Honda’s 471cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor which makes 46.2PS at 8500rpm and 43.3Nm at 6000rpm. This is the same engine which also powers the Honda NX500 and is praised for its smooth power delivery and overall performance.
Underpinnings
Being a cruiser style motorcycle, the Honda Rebel 500 gets a low seat height of 690mm which should make it easy for a lot of people to swing their leg over. It comes with conventional telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers from Showa. It gets a 296mm front and a 240mm rear disc brake setup with dual channel ABS and runs on 16-inch alloy wheels at both ends. The tyres are quite chunky with a 130/90-16 front tyre and a 150/80-16 rear tyre.
Features And Verdict
It is not the most feature-loaded Honda motorcycle but gets an all-LED light setup along with an LCD screen which shows all the necessary information required.
In India, there are no direct competitors for the Rebel 500, but according to its engine specifications it can be compared with the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and the Kawasaki Eliminator.

The Mid and Top Range of the bike so so smooth yet powerful, a value for money in my opinion and it's compact too 📈 really love the performance, the crusing is also fair on this bike, really Enjoyed the ride. Although some people might think they are over charging, but trust me, it's better than a 650 ❤️Read More
You know, the Honda Rebel 500 is one of those bikes they just completely nailed. It skips all that flashy, heavy chrome we see on old school cruisers and goes for this modern, blacked-out bobber look that works. And the first thing you feel is how crazy low that seat is. Seriously, it's a huge confidence booster.Read More
Bike dikhne me very attractive lagti hai, iski design door se alag najriya paida krti hai, sbse main baat hai iska look, black colour sbse jyada bhaukali lagta hai, jb road par gujrati hai to aaju baju walon ki nigah bs isi baike ke charo taraf ghumti rahti hai, mileage thoda kam hai, pr koi baat nahi.
