Priced at Rs 7.46 lakh, the 2019 ADV gets minor cosmetic tweaks

• 2019 Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT is priced the same as the outgoing model.
• New ADV gets updated body graphics, paint options remain the same.
• Powertrain remains unchanged.

Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the 2019 V-Strom 650XT at Rs 7.46 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is the same as the outgoing model. Apart from refreshed body graphics, the adventure tourer remains the same as before. Colour options include Champion Yellow No.2 and Pearl White Glacier. While the wheel rim colour on former remains unchanged, it does get updated body graphics that are more fluid than before. The white paint option also gets the new graphics layout. But instead of the black colour earlier, it is now in blue. It gets blue-coloured rims too. Overall, the updated body graphics blend well with the lines of the ADV.

It continues to be powered by a 645cc, liquid-cooled, V-Twin engine that puts out 71PS and 62Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox. It also gets three-level switchable traction control and ABS as standard. 

The Versys 650 XT competes with the Kawasaki Versys 650 (Rs 6.69 lakh) and the SWM SuperDual T (recently witnessed a temporary price drop to Rs 6.5 lakh). While the Kawasaki is more road-biased and the SWM more off-road friendly, the Suzuki takes the middle ground and strikes a good balance between off-road and on-road capabilities. Suzuki Motorcycle India introduces 2019 edition of V-Strom 650XT ABS

The 2019 Suzuki V-Strom 650XT ABS is equipped with four stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC with 645cm3 displacement, 90° V-twin engine, making it an ideal and an attractive option for anyone seeking a perfect middleweight adventure bike. It is equipped with the fuel-injection technology that churns out an improved performance. The lightweight Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) offers a controlled grip on the road and trustworthy braking performance in extreme conditions. The three-mode traction control system (2 Mode + OFF Mode), that ensures superior control over the engine which is effective in difficult road conditions helping prevent rear wheel spin further adds to the riding confidence.
