So Mahindra has been gracious enough to provide us with their latest premium offering the Mojo and us bikers here at BikeDekho are more than obliged. Oozing presence in its black-gold combination, the Mojo definitely commands attention. It might not be the most cohesive design you see on a motorcycle, but the details are definitely there to see.
The Mojo came to us with 300 odd km on the odo and while it was performing great, it did have a small issue of jerking under minimal throttle which was getting a little annoying in traffic conditions. A quick check at the Mahindra service center meant the issue was reduced quite a bit, but a slight jerkiness still remains. The Mojo isn’t the most comfortable bike in city conditions anyways thanks to its cruiser like rake, which makes steering the bike on the heavier side.
The Mojo finally got its first highways stint on a Republic Day ride and there is where the Mojo exceled. Out on the highways the Mojo can cruise effortlessly at 3-digit speeds and be extremely comfortable as well. It does not have the thrust or the hurried performance of say a Duke 390, but then its not meant to either. Almost 300 km on the tripmeter and a top speed recorded of 154 km/h is not a bad day at work at all and all this with a little over half tank of fuel used.
The next test is the India Bike Week event happening in Goa, where the Mojo’s mettle will be proved. Keep watching this space.
