Our helmets keep our head safe while riding but after we’re done with our ride, the helmet is normally kept on a shelf or in a corner or on a table. This leaves it open to the possibility of objects or liquids falling on it to say the least. Now rather than pack it away in its box, you can get a neat compact helmet bag. We got Dirtsack’s latest helmet bag called the Shellsack and put through a few days of testing. We tried different full face street and racing helmets and all them fit perfectly inside. The inside is re-enforced along the top, sides and bottom to protect the helmet from any falls or bumps that might occur while travelling or transporting. The interior is also made of a soft fabric so that it won’t scratch the visor or the paint job on your helmet. It’s great if you’re going to the movies or a press conference or say even for a date and don’t want to leave your expensive helmet on the motorcycle or place it somewhere where it could get damaged. The Shellsack has a firm handle to hold the bag in your hand and even a strap if you want to sling on your shoulder. When you’re not using it, it folds into a flat slim package so that you can store it easily. It is however not compatible with Dual sport and motocross helmets.
