- The Yamaha XSR 155 might be launched in India in the coming months.
Yamaha India has recently posted a new video on their social media platforms featuring the latest version of Yamaha’s ‘Call of the Blue’ theme song. Like the previous ‘Call of the Blue’ videos, this one also features many Yamaha bikes. In addition to the models already available in India, the teaser also showcases the Yamaha XSR 155, MT-09, Tenere 700, and the NMax scooter, which are not yet available in India.
We expect Yamaha to launch the Tenere 700 and MT-09 in India by the end of the year, in December 2023. But there is no solid info for the NMax scooter’s launch and it is less likely to come to India anytime soon. However, we hope Yamaha brings the XSR 155 to India.

Will The Yamaha XSR 155 Launch In India?
While there are fewer possibilities of it, Yamaha might launch the XSR 155 in India due to the high customer demands, and we would love it if it happens. The bike is an eye candy and will surely stand out in the Indian market.
The Yamaha XSR 155 comes with a neo-retro roadster design that looks fantastic. It features a muscular fuel tank that complements its overall look. The bike gets a flat single-piece seat without any grab rails. Its retro look is enhanced by the round LED headlight and round tail light. The XSR 155 has a chunky exhaust and is equipped with block pattern tyres. It even gets an inverted fork and a rear monoshock.

The Yamaha XSR 155 is powered by the same 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with VVA (Variable Valve Activation) as the Yamaha R15 V4 and MT-15 V2. It produces a peak output of 19.3PS and 14.7Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch.
We hope the Yamaha XSR 155 gets launched in India in the early 2025. If it actually comes to India, the 155cc retro-roadster would be positioned above the Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 which starts at Rs 1,68,200. The XSR 155 might be priced at around Rs 10,000 - Rs 12,000 more than the MT-15, somewhere around Rs 1.8 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).
If it comes to India, the XSR 155 will rival the other neo-retro roadsters like the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and the TVS Ronin.

- Most Underrated BikeWanted a low cc but stylish and retro motorcycle and here XSR became by my favourite. It can be easily maneuver in city traffics so that you don't have to be struggle to drive. Light weight as well. Gets you great mileage of around 45 plus. The riding posture is aggressive and yes, you can feel the ride and that's what actually matters. The seat is quite hard but instead of replacing it you can have a s seat cover of 400 rupees which would make it but softer. If you want entry level retro bike or kind of new into riding culture have it, feel it and then eventually according to your needs upgrade. It is stylish, you stop at red signal, people stop and ask about the bike. Most underrated bike you can say.Read More
- XSR 155 in India reviewEngine reliability is very good, reviews from the international audience suggests, the neo retro design looks damn good on roads. I've got so many compliments over the looks. Performance is insane too. The ride can be difficult to get used to at first but it gets better with time. The engine is super powerful and vibrations are very less. You can feel the power as you drive. The bike is pretty light and agile. And as you rev beyond 7k RPM, the VVA kicks in and the experience just get drastically better. I highly recommend this bike. Comfort might be one of the problems at the start but it gets better over time. Also, the customisation options are insane. You can just tune it to how you want it. Possibilities are endless.Read More5 1
