    Yamaha Increases Sales by 13% in September 2015

    In the month of September, India Yamaha Motor recorded an increase of 13% in their sales as compared to the sales of September 2014. A total of 67,267 units were sold last month, i.e., 7,942 units more than last September. On the other hand, the company recorded an increase of 29% in exports, they exported 15,612 units, 3,536 units more than last year.

    Keeping in mind the upcoming festival season, the Japanese bike manufacturer has launched its racing edition motorcycles YZF R3 and YZF R15-S, introduced new paint schemes for fuel injector versions of FZ-S and Fazer and have started bookings for their upcoming YZF R1M. The company is also selling good numbers in scooters, Saluto and Fascino being the most popular gearless two-wheelers of the brand.

    Roy Kurian, Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, India Yamaha Motor, said, "The incessant growth numbers are a sign of success of Yamaha’s robust business plan and strategic customer engagement programs. The month has ended on a very positive note for us as we launched the new variant of YZF R15S and the color variants of FZ-S Fuel Injector version and FAZER Fuel Injector version. Ahead of the festive season, we are confident that our recent launches and innovative customer connect programs will garner major sales for us and we will be able to post some record numbers in the coming months."

    Yamaha India line-up currently holds a total of 17 motorcycles, out of which, 4 are available in the country through CBU route. The manufacturer also offers 4 scooters to increase the number of options for the customers to choose from.
